Full program is also published in BMA Magazine and volunteers will be strolling the festival in smocks handing out programs. Or head to Dionysus AKA Art, Not Apart Headquarters (north corner, ground floor Nishi, next to Max Brenner) to speak to the the festival crew.
We want you to have the best festival experience possible. Here’s some festival tips about how to get here, how to explore all that’s on offer, and where to treat your taste buds.
Let’s be honest, parking in the city is always tough. That’s why we recommend alternative transport options such as public transport, walking, cycling, skateboarding, the list goes on. If you’re catching the bus, the closest place to hop off is Stop 3036 on London Circuit. For those riding, there are plenty of places to lock up your bicycles at both NewActon and around NFSA. If you do choose to drive, make sure you carpool with friends.
Parking at NewActon is limited however there are several free and cheap nearby options – two free carparks at ANU on Liversidge Street (145 spaces combined), a free carpark on Gordon Street (160 spaces), as well as the Wilson carpark on London Circuit which has a flat weekend rate of $4 (over 800 spaces). Road closures are marked on the map above. Skyfire is also on the same day, so arrive early to nab a park if you’re driving!
Eat and Drink
NewActon’s bars, restaurants and cafes will be open all day and night ready to serve you a mid-festival coffee, or a nice sit-down meal. But if you prefer to sample and snack your way around the festival, we have a tasty list of food and drink stalls setting up especially for the day.
The festival is wheelchair-friendly and there are disabled car spaces on Phillip Law Street, NFSA, and at most other listed carparks. In case you want to bring a furry friend along, our outdoor venues are pet-friendly – feel free to ask for a water bowl! We also have free public wi-fi at NewActon so that you can snap, share and live-stream all the sights and sounds.
We encourage you to have a look at the program and take note of what tickles your fancy. In between catching must-see acts and artists, feel free to just explore and catch a little bit of everything. Questions? Get in touch.
