ABOUT THE PROJECT

Re-imagining materials; Re-imagining possibilities

Blue Gum Community School invites YOU to delve into the marvellous majesty of materials - materials that provoke wonder and inspire creativity. Join us in the John Avery Gardens to create a wondrous woven sculptural tapestry; or perhaps you prefer to explore the aerodynamic possibilities of kite making, then test fly them at the Shine Dome. BYO creativity & imagination to join in the fun!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Blue Gum Community School

Blue Gum Community School is a small community-based, secular independent school. Campuses in Dickson and Hackett cater for 0-16 year olds: Playgroups, Preschool, Primary School, Middle School and High School. Blue Gum adopts a strengths-based, research-focused approach to education where every student can be a successful, robust learner.

The Arts and Nature Education are woven throughout Blue Gum’s curriculum, as powerful ‘languages’ for exploring/interpreting/understanding the world. Learning through research in community empowers students to be creative, capable, competent, responsible, resourceful and resilient.
