ABOUT THE PROJECT
THE KREWD PARTY is a short film starring Canberra legend MC KREWD: single mother of eight; burlesque hip-hop artist; and queen of the govvie flats. This film goes behind-the-scenes with MC KREWD as she puts on a BBQ for her friends and neighbours. She soon reveals that she has bigger plans for the documentary crew.
A collaboration between local filmmaker Alice Taylor and hip hop artist MC KREWD, the film was developed with the support of Screen Canberra. THE KREWD PARTY has it’s premiere screening at Art, Not Apart with a bonus launch of the music video for MC KREWD’s original track 'Single Mother Malady’ produced in collaboration with Coolio Desgracias.
