ABOUT THE ARTIST
Daniel White’s film career started as a primary school teacher in North Queensland, when he had the idea to run film subjects in art class for his students. This passion led him to write and direct his first short film, Funny Man (2013), and pursue the BA: Screen Production at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
A high-energy workhorse, Daniel has relished working on multiple roles on set, including as a location sound recordist on Brown Lips (2017), dir. Nakkiah Lui, and grip on Departure Lounge - A Bollywood Affair (2015), dir. Paul Andersen. His love for working with youth in the school environment has not dissipated as he dreams of working in children’s television. A large part of his enthusiasm and energy comes from his rambunctious and loving family.
