ABOUT THE PROJECT
We all remember our first time as an audience member. The thrill, the surprise, the excitement of it all. And after that first rush we expect every time to be just as fulfilling. However, sometimes we can lose that passion and being an audience member can become a bit stale. Maybe you’re tired from work? Maybe you’re stressed? Maybe you have a headache and the last thing you want to do is hoot and holla while someone spreads butter on themselves? These are all completely normal and human things to feel.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. We want to enhance your experience as an audience member and rekindle that passion, and help you to remember. just how good being an audience member can feel. Join the thousands of audience members who have learned how to enhance their audience experience by coming to one of our renowned 25-minute workshops. 25-minutes filled with practical, simple tools and exercises confirm, strengthen or restore your love…for being an audience member. For audience members of every orientation. You will take home techniques, tools and tips to support your relationship with art and rekindle that fire that brought you to being an audience member in the first place.
Who will benefit from attending?
This workshop is designed for ALL levels of audience members. Research shows that on average, audience members wait six years from the first signs of problems to get help. It is designed to strengthen your relationship to the performer. If you have a strong relationship with being an audience member, this workshop will provide you with insights and tools to make it a great one. If your relationship is distressed, this 25-mintue workshop will provide a road map for repair.
What you’ll learn
This 25-mintue workshop will give you new insights and techniques that can dramatically improve the intimacy and friendship in your audience experience. At the workshop, audience members will learn how to:
· Clap with two hands, as well as techniques to contribute to the applause if one hand is occupied with a beverage
· Explore and navigate different and appropriate levels of “woos”
· How to smile at and engage with a scared performer
· Techniques to switch off and enjoy being an audience member, rather than wondering if the performer finds you attractive.
· Where you sit; what it means and why it matters.
· And most importantly, how to have fun.
