ABOUT THE PROJECT
Book Launch: Under the Skin of the World
A story time for the Anthropocene. A picture book for adults. Poetry that is spoken. Illustrations that move. Text that leaps off the page.
Zoe Anderson has a long history of bringing the printed word to life on the stage through performance poetry. She will be performing alongside Helani Laisk’s unique animations to create a truly memorable poetry show.
This is the launch for Under the Skin of the World: a book that pairs poetry by Zoe with illustrations by Helani and playful typographic design by Caren Florance. Tackling themes including climate change, landscape, fairytale and ecological uncertainty, this will be a story time full of hope, imagination and truth.
